Is there a way to use except on multiple sections of a single page?

I have a meetings notes page that contains both a list of action items and decisions.  I am wanting to take these action items and decisions from each of the meetings and have them rolled up into an index.  I know I can use excerpt to use a single portion of a page but was wondering if there was a way to accomplish the same action to multiple sections of a page.

Would greatly appreciate any guidance you can provide.
