Is there a way to take a word doc or pdf and display it in confluence without doing a thumbnail?

We want to be able to see the full format of the document and not a thumbnail. Is this possible/

In theory, use an office word  or pdf macro and the document will be displayed.  Note that you have to drag and drop the document onto the page to get this to work.

In practice this doesn't work all the time.  I have a word doc that works only in edit mode and complains about a pdf file not being displayed for the office word macro for example.

How about a bug fix Atlassian team?
