Is there a way to send notification email (using email templates )to various email groups

I generally do the version upgrade + java/jdk upgrades and some oftenly do the yum updates on various servers . 

So i need to use the Notification Template in jira or confluence to various Email distribution list so that everybody will keep informed that am doing the maintenance activity or system update .

how can i do that . Need Assistance.
