Is there a way to restore a version of a database (Confluence Database "Table") in it's original version instead of saving as a new Database?
We are trying to implement the database functionalities in my organization but the version history constrains is causing hesitation. If a person removes data entries and we want to restore the version to it's prior state we would have to create a new database and save. The database we would create is linked across several spaces with different views, and having a new restored version would mean having to replace the links which is a huge effort.
I believe the ability to update the original itself would be a great feature to add to Databases.
Hey @Andrea Marquez ,
I've seen the need for this once or twice for sure. 👀
What you could currently do is to:
Not ideal, but it could be a current workaround.
I've tried browsing through open feature requests, but couldn't find the one that would cover what you're looking for.
From my perspective, it would be cool if, during recovery/restoration, there was an option to overwrite the original database or create a copy. 🤔
Anyway, you could reach out to Atlassian Support and discuss your requirement with them. Their team can probably create new suggestion/feature request on JAC.
If they do so, I would appreciate it if you could share a link here.
*note that you'll need to be app admin in order to raise a submit ticket
