Is there a way to limit the share feature / button?

Is there a way to limit the share feature / button? E.g. prevent the selection of groups in general or maybe of special groups, limit the amount of users you can share with?

In a Confluence instance with a group with a lot of users, someone can use the share button to trigger a mass e-mail to a lot of users.

Our current "solution" is to disable the share button, but limiting would be much better than switching it off completely.

Unfortunately you can't. However there is a suggestion here, which you can vote and watch.
