Is there a way to have one image, with links from selected parts of the image?

Confluence allows for an image to be the source of a link, and a target. I am looking for a way for a diagram to be a navigation tool, so clicking on certain parts of a diagram links to more details. This requires hotspots in the diagram to be links, rather than the whole diagram. Can it be done in confluence?

Not by default - you'd need to consider an add-on such as:

• Scroll ImageMap
• Gliffy - you can link process steps to different linked pages
