Is there a plug-in for reviewing interface specifications not limited to just schemas?

I'm aware the XSD viewer plug-in is available but i'm looking for something that is more generic that could you used for version control and change history to interface specifications and not specifically limited to schemas or could XSD viewer be used but I am just not aware of it's capabilities? 

All thoughts welcome.

XSD Viewer is often used together with Git for Confluence to document multiple versions of a schema. Is that what you are looking to do?

@Gert-Jan van de Streek i came across the git for confluence plug-in whilst searching and looks like the two could work well together. This could well suit our needs. Thanks for highlighting
