Is there a macro to embed only a selected part of a Confluence page into a Jira issue?

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a specific Confluence macro (if it exists) with the following characteristics:

  1. Something similar to Excerpt / Excerpt Include, but with the ability to display only a selected part of a Confluence page inside a Jira issue.

    • I want to choose a specific section of the Confluence page and have only that snippet shown in Jira.

  2. Smart links are not suitable for this use case because:

    • They display the entire page boundary and look too bulky in the Jira ticket.

    • They load slowly.

    • They don’t allow selecting just a portion of the page — you can only preview the whole page.

Can anyone suggest:

  • A built-in macro I might have missed?

  • A marketplace app or workaround that allows embedding a selected part of a Confluence page into Jira cleanly?

There might be a workaround:

  • make a new Confluence page with the excerpt macro with the correct content
  • include that new Confluence page in Jira
