I have a excel file, in which there are many lines with title and content.
I don't want to copy and paste one by one, so I wonder if I can upload the excel file to create articles massively.
You can simply copy paste content from Excel onto a Confluence page and it would create a table. Which is not exactly convenient.
A workaround:
Including Atlassian's Rovo answer generated at the Atlassian Support site. You may get a slightly different result, it's AI :)
Importing a Word Document into Confluence
You can easily import Word documents (.docx) into Confluence to create new pages or update existing ones. Here’s how you can do it:
Open Confluence and create a new page or go to an existing page (view mode, not edit).
Select the More actions menu (three dots), then choose Import Word Document.
Click Choose File and select your Word document (.docx).
Click Next and set your import options:
Title: Set a title for the new page.
Where to import: Choose to create a new page or overwrite an existing one.
Title conflicts: Decide whether to rename, replace, or remove existing pages with the same title.
Split by heading: If your document uses heading styles, you can split it into multiple Confluence pages based on those headings.
Click Import. The content will be added as new Confluence pages, which you can then edit as needed. There’s no ongoing connection to the original Word file after import 1.
Only Word documents with the .docx extension are supported.
The maximum file size for a single Word document is 5 MB (excluding attachments); for bulk imports, up to 30 files with a total of 50 MB, and each file cannot exceed 10 MB 2.
Some images or shapes in Word documents may not import correctly and could be replaced with placeholders 2.
If you start typing in the draft page, the import option will disappear; you can reopen it from the Templates & import doc option in the more actions menu 2.
Would you like step-by-step guidance for a specific Atlassian product or have a particular document you want to import?
