In januari we are migrating from the server version to the datacenter version of Confluence. In our organisation we are enthusiastic users of the awards (previous karma) plugin but it seems impossible to migrate it to the datacenter. Our team members would be very sad if this disappeared.
Anyone who knows a sollution for this problem?
(personally, I also don't want it to go before I ever reached the first place overall 😉 )
You will need to ask the authors of the app if they plan to make it available for Data Centre.
However, you can still install it - server and DC apps work on the same framework, and the DC versions of apps are often the same code.
There is more rigour applied to DC apps before they get the "DC compatible" flag in the marketplace though - there are some things apps might do that have to be done very differently on DC - session management, caching and so-on (albeit if you code for DC, it'll work fine on Server too)
So you could take the app, install it in test and give it a go, to see if it does work, but of course, I cannot recommend that, I can only recommend that you contact the authors and see if they are planning on making a DC version (or, at least, making sure their Server version is DC compatible)
