Hi,

I am trying to inset image files into Confluence and I am getting an error saying:

"Invalid response received from the server"

If I reduce the size of the image, by resizing, then it is accepted.

I have checked the configuration and file size limit is set to 100MB, the latest file that fails is 3.6MB and none are much over that.

Thanks,

J

Hello @jolyonh,

Thank you for contacting us about this! Happy to help.

I'll just need a bit more information before we can proceed. Could you let us know the answers to the following questions?

  1. How are you inserting the images into Confluence? By dragging the file directly onto the page or by using the Insert > Files and images menu?
  2. What version of Confluence are you using?
  3. Are you running Confluence behind any firewall or proxy?
  4. Could you have a look at your Confluence Server logs, trigger the error again, and let me know the stack trace you receive when the error occurs?
  5. Does this happen for any image type? (e.g. .gif, .jpg, .png)
  6. Does this occur for other users, and on any page in Confluence?

Thank you for your help!

Regards,

Shannon
