I am really new to this software so I'm just learning as I go.
I have an interactive PDF (you click on a link and it gives you more information). I upload to Confluence but it only exports it as an image. Does anyone know another way of ensuring it's not just a static image?
Hi @Joanne MacDonald and welcome to the Community,
if you upload the PDF as an attachement to the Page, it will "stay" a pdf. If you open the preview from the page it might look like a static picture, but if you download it, it should give you the original file.
Can you confirm that? Otherwise it might be helpful to provide some screenshots of the issue you're facing.
We face a similar issue. I think the issue is not showing up the PDF (that is going well when you add it as an attachment), but the hyperlinks in the interactive PDF do not work as expected. In our case we have an interactive PDF which contains several different hyperlinks: to confluence pages (which are external links; from PDF > Confluence), but also internal hyperlinks; go back in the document to the first "home" page in the document.
We see hyperlink work on the first page of the interactive document only. Next pages hyperlinks are not active (neither internal nor external).
