Hi!
I am using Confluence at work for documents typesetting to further export them to pdf. We need our tables to have no borders for better styling, and my boss told me that to remove borders she uses CSS styling (style="border:hidden;") inside a Confluence Markup tag. It works, and if we export to pdf immediately, we get the tables formatting we need.
However, if we continue to work on the same document for some time, the CSS line disappears from the code, and the borders appear again.
What's bothering me the most though, is that when I looked through Confluence documentation, I found no evidence that CSS styling can even be used in such way. At this point I am more concerned with the fact that it works than with that sometimes it doesn't.
I am new to Confluence and not particularly well-versed in CSS either. So, if you could recommend any resources where I could start digging for information, I would be very grateful.
Thanks in advance!
Hi maryartkey,
I also use the possibility to add inline styling via the source editor.
I've made the experience that inline styling gets lost if you copy/cut & paste text in the WYSIWYG editor.
Cheers,
Kirstin
Not only that. After saving the page if you re-open to edit, some styling are removed
