Hi there,

It seems my Include Except is slipping away to the right in View Mode and leaves an empty space on the left. I wonder whether someone can help. I haven't seen this issue before and I have used Excerpt/Insert Excerpt before but may not in the cloud.

When I export the page with the Include Except, the Word version shows the inclusion correctly, but the PDF version is incorrect. What do I doing wrong? There are no other invisible characters within the Excerpt window.

I re-created everything, but am still getting the same result.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi,

This issue usually happens because the Include Excerpt block inherits formatting or alignment from the surrounding container, which can behave differently in View Mode and PDF exports. To fix it:

Check alignment of the parent container—set it to full width or left-aligned.

Remove extra spacing or padding inside the Excerpt block.

For PDFs, sometimes PDF rendering engines ignore certain block styles. Wrapping the Excerpt in a simple Text or Group block often resolves the PDF misalignment.

Try these adjustments, and the Include Excerpt should stay in place in both View and PDF.
