Hi Confluence folks 👋

I am implementing an IMS (integrated management system - ISMS and QMS) in my company, and seeking to certify for ISO 27001 and ISO 9001, and I have been working on ways to publish IMS Policies in Confluence and then use Jira for review management (essentially creating a Jira ticket for a scheduled review of a doc in, say, 6 months time).

I can publish docs in this way, and have all the audit trail for approval and change management which is great.

I can using the Page Properties macro to easily create a "Document Register" which is great too.

And I can use the Comments on Pages to ask people to, and then have them acknowledge that they have, read each Policy.

So far so good.

BUT, I would REALLY love to be able to do is report on who has NOT acknowledged to have read a Policy.  Sure, I can go through the comments and see who has, and thereby through elimination know who has not, but that is not in any way scalable.

I've been wondering if there is a way to add an "I've read this" button (or some other device) on a Page, and then be able to easily see or report on who has, and who has not, hit it.  Nuance: If I update the Policy to a new version, I want to be able to 'reset' that 'I've read it' status, so that I can know who has and who has not read the updated version.

My past company used their HR system to ask people to confirm they had read Policies, but to do that I'd have to start publishing my Policies in the HR system which I don't want to do (I like all docs in Confluence for consistency and so I can link into Jira for the 'project management' or document reaction, review, etc).

Anyone know how to do this, or some other way?
