Is there a way to import a Confluence page into a learning module and have module sections map directly to specific page headers (H2/H3)? I’m trying to reuse an existing structured page, but instead of importing the full page as one module, I’d like each module section to correspond to a particular section of the page based on headings. Is this supported, or does it require restructuring the content manually?
Hi Dean,
This is Hedi from Smart Courses for Confluence team.
Smart Courses does not automatically split a Confluence page into multiple course sections or modules based on page headers. When you insert a Confluence page component, the selected page (or a specific heading/anchor within that page) is displayed as a single learning component.
However, you do have a couple of options:

Hi Hedi,
Thank you for the detailed response. I have a few additional questions:

Hi Dean,
Thank you for your follow-up questions.
Could Excerpt and Excerpt Include macros be used to show only a specific section of a Confluence page within a learning module while maintaining automatic updates from the source page?
When the Excerpt and Excerpt Include macros are used within Confluence pages embedded in Smart Courses, their content will be displayed as expected and will continue to update automatically based on the source content. However, these macros cannot be used directly within Smart Courses to display only a specific section of a Confluence page.
If section-level embedding is not currently supported, is this functionality on the product roadmap, or is it available through a workaround that preserves automatic content updates?
Smart Courses uses a native Atlassian component to display Confluence pages as faithfully as possible. At this time, the component does not support displaying individual page headings or sections separately, and we are not aware of any workaround that would enable this while preserving automatic updates from the source page.
If this capability would be valuable for your use case, please feel free to submit it to our support team. We'd be happy to add it to our backlog and keep you informed if it is prioritized for future development.
Best regards,
Hedi

It seems you're using an LMS (Learning Management System) app... is that the case?
