I'm trying to imbed a google doc to confluence.  I'm using

Widget Connector Macro.

All I seem to get is a blank widget box in Confluence - Edit mode.

Hey Gary, welcome to the Community!

Sharing a document from Google Docs to Confluence Cloud with the widget connector macro takes a couple steps on the Docs side to get set up.

Step 1: enable publishing

From the File menu in your Google document, you'll need to select Publish to the web

and then click the Publish button in the popup window that appears:

Step 2: get the sharing link

In the upper right of your document, click the Share button

Then click the Get shareable link option in the dialogue window that pops up:

The link that Google Docs copies to your clipboard is what you'll want to put in the URL parameter for Confluence's widget connector macro. Based on who should be able to see the document and their permissions in Google Drive, you may need to adjust the permissions on the document in Drive to allow more users in your organization to see it.

Cheers,
Daniel
