Hello!
I have made a flowchart and I wanted to link different parts of the image which correspond to different rectangles of the flowchart to different links (of the same Confluence space). To do that, I tried to create an image map in HTML that I inserted using a markup.
However, although the flowchart appears in the page, the href's in the correspondent areas don't work... In the same HTML code inserted in the markup, I tried to hyperlink the entire image by an href and it worked and I also tried to write some text and hyperlink it and it also worked.
How can I solve this problem? Why does the href don't work only in my image map area?
Thank you!
Hello João,
Welcome to Atlassian Community. It's nice to meet you!
Can you confirm that you are using Confluence Cloud for this test? If so, it is not possible to do in Confluence Cloud using HTML. You would need to write a User Macro in order to display your image map. User Macros are only possible in Confluence Server, which you can see in our document below that discusses the differences between Confluence Cloud and Server.
In addition, Confluence Cloud does not support all markup. It only supports certain Markdown, which is mostly related to formatting text. You can get the full list of Markdown supported when clicking on the question mark (?) icon at the bottom-left of your editor.
I recommend using another method to create an image map. For example, you can use a paid add-on like Scroll ImageMap for Confluence.
I hope that helps, but do let me know if you have any questions or trouble.
Shannon
