We have a JSD project that is no longer used and it has a Confluence connected to it. If I archive the JSD does the Confluence remain or does it also get archived?

Archiving a Space/project in Jira/JSM is separate from archiving a Space in Confluence. Archiving one does not automatically archive the other.
