@VLAS1

The message “Your Confluence Cloud subscription has been deactivated due to inactivity, and the data will be permanently deleted soon” is Atlassian’s standard notice for a Free or inactive site that has crossed the inactivity threshold and entered the deletion timeline. Atlassian also cancels linked Marketplace app subscriptions when a product is deactivated for inactivity, which you may see referenced in the same notice. Atlassian’s policy allows deactivation of Free Cloud sites due to inactivity, and “activity” can be as simple as logging in and viewing a page or dashboard

Recover access now

Try reactivating in billing: go to admin.atlassian.com/billing → Subscriptions → Inactive tab → Reactivate, then confirm billing details if prompted. If the Reactivate option is unavailable or you need help, contact Atlassian immediately and reference your site URL to request restoration within the retention window. Starting a new trial on the existing site can also reactivate a deactivated subscription if you’re within retention and prefer that route

Timeline and Deletion

Official retention after cancellation is 15 days for Free subscriptions and 60 days for paid subscriptions; after that, the data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Atlassian also notes that after a subscription ends there’s a brief access period before deactivation, after which data is only retained for a limited time depending on plan and then removed. Community guidance specific to Free inactivity indicates deactivation typically occurs around 120 days of no logins, with a short retention window afterward before permanent deletion is executed

Since your Confluence Cloud subscription has been deactivated, contact Atlassian support immediately. They can guide you on restoring access and recovering your data before it’s permanently deleted.

@VLAS1 I am assuming that you are on a free plan so I will escalate this to Atlassian support.  If you are on a paid plan, then you will need to pay for service again.  On either plan I would suggest logging in and seeing if you can see the products or if they have been removed.

Hi @VLAS1

Greetings!!

Welcome to Atlassian community!

Upon checking further, I can see that your site is still active and not deactivated yet and it seems like you logged in to the site which retained access.

However, this is handled by our billing team who can help you better with the product activation and deactivation.

I suggest you to raise a support ticket directly with the billing team here https://www.atlassian.com/company/contact/purchasing-licensing#/ for further clarifications on the same.

Hope this helps!

Best Regards,

Vishalakshi Narayanaswamy
