Hi Team,
I am currently unable to login to my Jira Confluence Server web page.
When i enter the local administrator username and password which i am sure are very correct i get the following error when i try from the local host server or from another network computer:
The following error(s) occurred:
Sorry, an error occurred trying to log you in. Please try again.
You will need to read the log file for Confluence (not Jira Confluence - Jira and Confluence are totally separate services).
Should be <your confluence home directory>/logs/atlassian-confluence.log - read the part where you try to log in and it should throw a load of errors when this message pops up.
Hi Nic
Apologies the issue i have is with the Confluence server.
The log file that i have is located at C:\Program Files\Atlassian\Application Data\Confluence\logs\atlassian-confluence.log.
I am not so that technical so i cant easily locate the exact error.
I would like to send you this file for you to check the exact issue or i give you a remote session to my server you check.
Please see how to assist on this.
Kenneth

We don't scan logs for other people, it's time consuming and often lands in the wrong place because we don't have the same information they do.
Log into the server, and watch the log file. Once watching it, try to log in the browser, and you'll see a handful of text written to the log. That will tell you what is going wrong.
