I am using jira macro to pull data into confluence for release notes. I have two problems
1) epic link, components, fix version, etc were populated with data a week ago, now all of these fields are blank. I have not changed anything.
2) I created text fields to copy data from another field so it does not have a link back to the JIRA project. The fields populate in jira but when I pull them into confluence via the jira macro they are blank. This was an issue before my issue with #1 happened so I don't believe they are related. I have Summary title copied from Summary (so no link available) and JIRA Key copies from Key ID. The issue is that Key and Summary will take people to the actual JIRA issue and we want to block this but still display the data.
I don't have any answers but have a similar problem. None of my Jira custom field values are being displayed in my Confluence page. It's been a couple of weeks since I last viewed the Confluence page but certainly noticed it today. I'll be watching to see if someone is able to help with your issue. We are using cloud service and no known upgrades or maintenance and we are using Jira NextGen projects. Good luck!
Oddly, today some of the fields appeared as well as my custom fields, but Epic Link is still blank and it worked last week. I'm thinking Atlassian must be doing something on their end to account for the constant changes.

I have made zero changes and now all of the custom field values are again being displayed on my Confluence page. I tend to agree with your assessment of Atlassian's behind the scenes work. I hope they stop and don't break it again.

For some reason Epic Link and Epic Name still aren't working and some of my custom fields work intermittently. It's driving me bonkers! lol

@Lloyd Dukes Good Morning. I finally submitted a bug for this. Atlassian confirmed this is a bug in application and nothing we're doing. Ticket below for reference.

@Kelli Frattini-Adams Good morning. And the bugs are back! Thanks for opening a ticket on this and I have taken your suggestion of letting them know that it does affect my team as well. Hopefully this is an easy fix and a quick implementation....finger crossed!
