After updating from v6 to v7, and migrating Confluence from our local server to AWS, we can no longer edit any articles.

We have looked at quite a few KB articles, but have not found a solution.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Hi Stephan,

Can you tell me more about not being able to edit?

I'm assuming you're logged in. Please double check it's not an authentication problem, where you have Confluence accessed anonymously, but no edit privileges for users who aren't logged in. This may have been caused by networking changes when going from your own server to AWS, where Confluence can no longer connect back to your AD domain controller.

Otherwise, if you are logged in, by not being able to edit, I'm guessing that you see a spinning throbber on the edit page. Is this correct?

Can you confirm your collaborative editing settings? I'm guessing it's on. Does editing work if you turn collab editing off?

It might be an issue with your ELB/ALB on AWS not having Websockets enabled. Follow the troubleshooting steps here  https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/troubleshooting-collaborative-editing-858772087.html

Let us know how you go :)
