I am unable to pick a date from the Calendar that pops up. I can only pick a date from 9 days back.

I've tested this on my Cloud instance, but I'm not having the same issue choosing a date past 9 days from now:
You mentioned the "now" tab, but this isn't an option for me. Can you confirm that you are indeed using the Calendar macro in Confluence?
Can you provide a screenshot of the issue you're having in your Confluence and including where you click the "now" tab?
