I created a new space for testing and created a page in my ConfiForm repository within this new space. I would like to take the information from the previous space/page (I used export and selected XLS) and import the information to my new space, so that I don't have to enter all the users and their information manually. I'm wondering what I need to do to import all the user's information to the new page I created.
I'm assuming I need to make sure all fields need to be named the same but is there anything else I would need to modify in the excel file I downloaded?
How do I then import this information? do i use the Import API, if so, how do I know what to fill in within the Import API?
If anyone could share any kind of information that may help me I would greatly appreciate it. I am new to Confluence and ConfiForms but trying to figure everything out as I go.
Thank you
Hello again, I figured out what I needed to do, I actually exported an excel file from the new page and then updated it with the information from the old page and then did the import of the new csv file. thank you again for your help
Hi @Dena Ahlers and welcome to this community
I understand that you have a form with some data created in another page/space and want to copy all it's contents into your new form (which is a identical copy of the other form?)
The easiest way would be to use the RAW export and recovery API to create an exact data copy in your new form (assuming it is the same as the old one) - https://wiki.vertuna.com/display/CONFIFORMS/Migration+and+Recovery+API

Thanks for replying Alex! Unfortunately my new page is set up a little differently than the original. I've removed some of the fields that we originally had. I'm guessing I would need to adjust the xls file to match but am not sure. If you have any other information I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you again for helping me!

I dont know if you need to adjust your XLS file (whatever it has), but if yo ask about Import API ConfiForms has then you can use it and map the columns to fields on the go - uploading a file and then deciding what goes where

Thanks again, so it looks like the import API Confiforms only allows CSV, Excel, Excel 2007 formats are supported at the moment So I'll export the CSV file then import it to the new page and then see if I can map the columns to fields correctly.

I'm not sure if you would be able to help with this as well, but when I go to import the csv that is created I get this error when trying to import.
