for project management task tracking, we currently using ms excel. how to use it in confluence to be able for adding several colums and filter those colums based on due date or assignee?
Hi @david cornelius ,
We can suggest trying our app - Table Filter and Charts for Confluence.
There are two options how to achieve your case:
Option one. Use your original Excel file, connect it to your Confluence page via our Table from CSV macro, add additional columns with the help of the Table Transformer macro and filter the result combined report using the Table Filter macro.
Option two. Exclude Excel from your workflow and perform all the required operations using the Table Spreadsheet macro that is a fully functional spreadsheet right on your Confluence page.
Maybe you'll be interested in a live demo from our team - please book a suitable time slot here and we'll be happy to show you similar use cases.
Hi there,
As this question mentions our Table Filter and Charts for Confluence app, we are happy to introduce its new macro – Table Spreadsheet.
The macro allows you to work with fully functional Excel spreadsheets right in Confluence.
You’ll be able to use cells’ formulas, filters, conditional formatting, etc., create pivot tables and charts from the page view and edit mode.
The Table Spreadsheet macro is available for Cloud and Server/Data Center.

Our app, Polaris spreadsheet allows you to embed an existing excel file for your project management in a confluence page and to directly edit it. In addition, it also supports creating a Jira issue or linking a ticket.
- Have the data from an excel spreadsheet update a confluence page
- Have the topic on the excel document create and link to a JIRA EPIC or Story

@david cornelius Welcome to Confluence! Although @Katerina Kovriga _Stiltsoft_ does present a solution, I wanted to post to let you know that the use case you are looking for is NOT supported natively in Confluence and would require the use of a Marketplace App.
Hope you find the best fit for your organization!
