I have a table spreadsheet with multiple random values that I concatenate into a single string. I'm using the randbeteeen function which provides a value, however, this value never changes. How do I refresh the table spreadsheet to cycle through new random values?
Hi @Tom G ,
As you've mentioned the Table Spreadsheet macro, we assume that you are talking about our app - Table Filter, Charts & Spreadsheets for Confluence.
If this is the case, please refer to our support portal directly in case of further questions. The portal is confidential, and all the questions there are registered. And here we try to locate the related threads manually, some of them can be missed.
Meanwhile, we really don't have the "Calculate Now" and "Calculate Sheet" options like Excel does. We've created a feature request for our internal roadmap and added your vote to it. Once the feature is implemented, we'll get back here and notify you.
As a workaround, you may insert the =NOW() formula somewhere on the current sheet or any other sheet of the Table Spreadsheet macro. Then every time you reload (update) your Confluence page with the macro in your browser, the =RANDBETWEEN(1,10) formula will be triggered for recalculation.
Hi @Tom G -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
You posted this question in the Confluence Cloud area, and it seems you are asking a question about a function of a spreadsheet tool, such as Microsoft Excel.
If so, perhaps check the documentation for that tool. If not, please clarify where you are trying to use that function in Confluence. Thanks!
Kind regards,
Bill

In excel I can refresh the same formula with F9, I'm trying to find a way to refresh the confluence table spreadsheet that mimics excel. I can use the randbeteeen function in the confluence macro, but can't get it to update/refresh.

Thanks for clarifying, Tom.
I do not believe the built-in table macro supports formulas. Have you checked if the macro / feature you are using is from a marketplace addon / app to Confluence?
