How to show pages from Space A in Space B with only having permissions for Space B

Deleted user October 11, 2018

Hello everyone,

I would like to show several pages from Space A in Space B. I cannot simply copy/paste it, since it's supposed to update changes in the pages (and children) automatically. I already figured out that the right macro for that would be the "Include" Macro. The problem with it however is that to see the content in Space B additionally to space permissions for Space B you also need the permissions for Space A.
Is there a possibility to have this function without giving space permissions for Space A and only for Space B?

Your help is highly appreciated.

Hi!

I have grave doubts that this can work. Otherwise, it would override Confluence's permission.

I think you can always fine-tune permission in the space B. Or create, for example, top-directory with all the pages you want to give the view permission to.

Indeed, it can't work any other way - "I can't see page A but I can" is a direct contradiction and breaks all security models.

If you want someone to see content somewhere through any route, you have to give them access to it.  Confluence keeps this simple to avoid errors by saying "I don't care how you get to see this content, you must have permission to see it"
