Heya Atlassians,
English isn't my native language and i started to work myself into Confluence two days ago, so please bear with me.
I've run into a roadblock while working on a task.
The was tasked to create a template for our local Confluence Wiki ( 4.2 ) using the Page Approval plugin.
The idea was to be able to use the template on a page, fill it with content ( tables, reports, links) and edit it when needed, but have the content of the page be hidden/ invisible for "standard" users at all times until the page was approved, then it was supposed to be visible.
It's possible to restrict view/ write access via the admin coinsole by assigning users to groups.
But it's not an optimal solution in this case.
Is it possible to link site permissions with the Page Approval plugin, or is there maybe another way?
regards
M
I think according to your requirements, you have to test the following plugin:
https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.comalatech.workflow
This plugin allows 'workflows' for pages in which to publish prior approval user is required.
You can see a video to see the features heres:

But this plugin is not free :(
Hope it helps,
Daniel
Thanks for the quick reply!
I forwarded the information about Ad hoc to my superiors.
So there's no way to "hack" in a solution with Confluence build-in features and the Page Approval plugin?
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
'Page Approval' add a macro that can include to a page in Confluence that you can specify which users have to revise / approve. The problem is that this plugin doesn't allow a 'workflow' for Confluence, can't make a condition that before publishing a page (Draft -> Publish) check that has been approved and if is approve by user/s, publish the page.
In my opinion, 'Page approval plugin' is more visual than functional.
So I think this plugin not what you're looking for...
Hope it helps,
Daniel
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
You can also search votes of new features that look like what you ask.
More votes, more possibilities that Atlassian Team develops the feature...
For example:
