My goal is to set users to be able to Edit pages but not to add them.
What I've tried and it didn't work :
- Set user Page Add as off at the space level.
- Give the user access to the page (and it's parent) to View and Edit.
Other symptom : when I give the user access to Add an Delete the pages in the space then he is able to edit the page but he is also able to create the page which is what I don't want.
Is there something I'm doing wrong here ?
To my knowledge you can’t. On the space level edit and create are combined. On the level you can restrict editing but not create.
You can use our app Edit Permission Inheritance which allows what you need.
Kind regards
Andreas
You should look into Confluence page restrictions.
Go to the page and look for the lock icon on the top near the title.

Doesn't solve the issue above : Can edit but can't create (a page).
