How to set default filters for space search?

The space search field (in the upper right corner of my space) defaults to searching the whole Confluence instance.

As a space admin, I would like the ability to set default filters for the space search field. For example, only search in <NAME> space.

I am aware of macro/in-document workarounds such as dropping a search field on a page. That will not work for me.

I don't see any workaround out of Box.

Gap still exists.
