My organisation asks to remove Ask Rovo until a risk assesment is on place. I searched in Confluence documentaions but nothing is working.
Example here it says its not possible to remove. Is it correct?
Found this here from AI Trust center: https://www.atlassian.com/trust/ai
Can I turn off AI features if my organization is not ready to use them?
Hello @Murali Sivanandan
Go to Rovo - Rovo Access and click Enable Rovo by default, toggle it off. You can also block the Rovo access based on the app when you go to Rovo settings.

Hi @Murali Sivanandan ,
Based on the official documentation you provided, here is the streamlined response for hiding the Rovo entry point and managing the blocklist:

In Enterprise plans, Rovo visibility is controlled via Product Access. Go to Directory → Product access, find Atlassian Rovo, and remove the relevant user groups. Unauthorized users will no longer see the Rovo icon or "Ask Rovo" entry point.
To restrict Rovo from accessing specific app data, go to Settings → Atlassian Intelligence → Blocklist. Click Add apps and select the apps to block. Blocklisted app data will not be indexed, searched, or referenced by Rovo.

I don,t see Atlassian Intelligence under settings. Just Rovo. Anyway thanks for the time and answer.

Currently, Ask Rovo in Confluence cannot be completely removed in some Atlassian cloud environments because Atlassian is gradually integrating AI features across products. However, you can minimize or disable its visibility depending on your permissions and plan.
Things you can try:
Disable Atlassian Intelligence Rovo
Go to Admin Settings → Atlassian Intelligence and turn off AI features if the option is available.
Check Confluence Permissions
Some organizations can restrict Rovo access from:
Settings → Products → Confluence → Permissions
Hide It with Browser Tools
If Atlassian does not allow full removal, you can hide the UI using browser extensions such as uBlock Origin or custom CSS tools.
Contact Atlassian Support
Some cloud instances do not yet support fully disabling Rovo, so Atlassian Support can confirm what options are available for your environment
