I tried using the whiteboard timer to timebox our sprint review via virtual call (Slack huddle). I thought I can share the whiteboard with the participants in the call, so they can see the timer and hear the sound. However, when the timer ends, the participants in the call were not able to hear the alarm sound.
Does this need each of the participant to be in that same whiteboard in their own devices for them to hear the sound?
Hi @Erwin Allanigue ,
I guess this is more of a 'Slack issue' as, as far as I've managed to check out, Slack doesn't support sharing device sound when you're in a huddle.
That being said, a potential workaround would be, as you've said, that all participants have the same whiteboard opened while you're on the call.
Note that I haven't played around with timers that much so I can't say for sure if, for example, you start the timer, everyone else will also be able to hear it if they have the whiteboard open once the timer goes off. (would appreciate it if you could share it here once you try it out)
Cheers,
Tobi
Noted, Tobi. Yes, my teammates can hear the alarm ring only if their confluence whiteboards are open on their end.
