Question is simple - how to get version of confluence, whether am using Cloud or other than Cloud.

Confluence Cloud should always be under the "latest" version. For Confluence Data Center, follow the steps mentioned in the article below from Confluence.

@Chandrasekhar KC you can tell if you are using Cloud if the url starts with abc123.atlassian.net as all Cloud instances are hosted on atlassian.net
Alternatively, for DC, you can scroll down to the bottom of the page, where the footer should include a number of the version.
