I have created a space template for creating a special type of pages in that space. The template has a number of $-variables for user input when the template is used to generate a page. So far so good - I can reuse these variables other places in the template to have the text appear there too. Everywhere, except in the page title for the new page it seems? The title is initially created by the page title set by the "Create from template" macro, and the only dynamic content to be used here seems to be @currentDate, @spaceName and @spaceKey?
So I am probably following a wrong path for accomplishing what I want, which is:
- create pages through a template to make sure certain content is captured
- have the page titles of the created pages consist of a mix of 1) user input 2) hardcoded content, for instance from the title field in the "Create from template macro" and 3) Confluence generated content such as current date & time
My Confluence version is 7.3.2.
