I understand how to copy, move to where I want the page, etc. What I don't understand is editing the copied page. For example - if their page was a parent page that has a bunch of child pages on it ... how do I edit that list of pages to be the pages I want?
Also -- they have a 'page' icon to indicate that each listing is a separate page. Where can I find this page icon to add to a different page? Thank you.
Hello @Camilla Harp
To edit the page that you have created by copying another page click the Edit button at the top of your page.
The links to the child pages of the original page may be listed explicitly or they may have been included by using the "Children Display" macro.
If the links are listed explicitly then you need to delete the unwanted links. You can add explicit links to pages by clicking on the Insert Link toolbar button and finding the page for which you want to add a link.
The "Children Display" macro will automatically display the children of the current page, not the original page.
With regard to the page icon that is being shown can you provide a screen image of what you see? It may have come from the Emoji options, or they may have uploaded a custom graphic.
Hope this helps, it shows how to create a new child page and edit a page - you can either click the Edit button or press E on your keyboard. If you don't see the Edit button, then you don't have permissions to edit. In this case, speak to your Confluence admin (manager, IT, Devops...).

If you copy a page and want to edit it, simply open the page and click the Edit button at the top. The list of pages shown on that page might either be manual links or generated using the Children Display macro. If the links were added manually, you can edit the page, remove the links you don’t need, and add new ones using the Insert Link option to link to the pages you want. If the page uses the Children Display macro, it will automatically show the child pages of the current page, so you can control the list by moving or creating pages under your copied page as its children. As for the small page icon next to links, it usually appears automatically when you link to another Confluence page, so you don’t need to add it manually. If the icon looks different, it might be an emoji or a custom image, and checking with a screenshot would help identify it.
