How to display the value of a variable from another page

Hi,

This may have been asked before, but can't find anything related to this. I have created a custom template where I added 4 variables: $approver1, $approver2, $approver3, $approver4

I created another page where I would want to list those four people in a table, one row for each name. How can I do that without tying in their names again?

Would it need a user macro which 'reads' the content of a variable on another page? If so how would it look like? I tried using the 'Excerpt' macro, but that only allows one section (or name in this case) to be used on my page.

Many thanks,

Peter

I would suggest this plugin comala-metadata.

It has the advantage of being free as well. I have used it for years.

Hi Peter,

Maybe our App Easy Confluence Variables could be a solution for you. You can define variables global or per space and reuse them on pages. You find the App on the Marketplace. Of course the Search on the variable and the value works.
