If I write documentation in my space, and export it as a pdf, if I click any links I've created that link from one page to another page, it opens a new tab and opens the confluence page in my browser, instead of simply jumping to the other page directly in the pdf. My question is, how do I create a link such that when I export my space to a pdf, clicking the link will simply jump to the specified location within my pdf instead of opening a new page? Basically, I would like to have the same functionality as the links to sections generated in the pdf table of contents.
@Enoch Huang I create all of my links either by:
In my PDFs, I see that only links of type #1 above work to jump to another spot in the PDF. All the others want to open the Confluence site.
I'm not planning to produce PDFs of my content, though, so I haven't worried about this too much. I will be interested to see if anyone has a solution for this.
Welcome to the Atlassian Community.
These links will direct you to the browser rather than the PDF itself. I mainly export spaces as XML, so I have yet to test it, but I'm unsure if you can achieve it out of the box. A similar ticket, https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-76571, has been raised in the Atlassian public issue tracker. I'll dig around and come back here if I find anything else. Otherwise, a marketplace app should do it.
