How to avoid connectivity problem between Jira and Confluence?

Eftal Cingoz March 3, 2020

Hello,

I've added the Application Links for both sides but whenever I check the connectivity I get "We can't enable the incoming authentication because Jira is not reachable."  and also "We can't display the status for this application link, because outgoing authentication is disabled. You can enable outgoing authentication to see the status."

Jira works on DMZ, it is on external network server and Confluence is not. Confluence is working on an internal network. Could it be a problem?

Regards

Hi Eftal

to enable the application links bi directional the servers need to be able to communicate with each other. If your confluence server is running in the internal network, is there a firewall rule in place that allows access from the jira server?

Cheers

Kurt
