How to authenticate a cli program to access sprint data?

Hi All,

I am writing a program to access Jira sprint data in Jira Cloud

I have an account that can access the sprint report for the board in question from a web browser.

I am trying to use Oauth authorisation starting at 

https://auth.atlassian.com/oauth/token.  

I've created the client_id and _secret in the developer console.

I'm authorising with these scopes:

read:sprint:jira-software read:board-scope:jira-software read:issue-details:jira read:jql:jira read:jira-work manage:jira-project

I successfully authenticate, get the authtoken, then try to call 

https://imaginecurve.atlassian.net/rest/greenhopper/1.0/rapid/charts/sprintreport?rapidViewId=XXX&sprintId=YYYY

And I get a 401.

I'm mystified. The parameters are correct as I can see them in developer tools in the browser when viewing the sprint report. 

However, when my app tries to hit that URL, no joy, even though I'm authenticated, and seem to have all the scopes that I should to be able to read that report.

Anyone have any idea here?
