Apparently, according to a discussion on the forum, the UNDO icon has been reinstated, but where is it, and how can it be added to the toolbar?

I cannot locate it in the menus.

Not having this icon caused a lot of unnecessary work reformatting a table after accidentally creating an extra column, and then splitting the table!

@Murrin_ Joanne In the recent UI update, the undo/redo controls were moved from the editor toolbar to the More actions () menu. I am so in the habit of using the shortcut key combinations that I never even noticed the controls were moved.

Funny, I've looked at 2 different Confluence environments (my Free instance and my employers Premium instance) and while they have two different toolbars between them (for the new Confluence editor) both have the undo/redo buttons in the tool bar itself but in different locations. And neither quite matches the layout of the original author.

The Premium instance I looked at has them on the right.

@Trudy Claspill This reminds me of a quote from the beginning of a chapter in one of the books in Isaac Asimov's Foundation series:

Consistency is not a necessary aspect of the universe.

I do not, however, think this should apply to software UI.

Thank you so much, Barbara!  The undo icon has been located in the 3 dots menu!!  I hadn't thought to look there.

Hello @Murrin_ Joanne

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

Can you provide links to the discussions you are referencing?

Can you show us an image of your toolbar in Confluence?

I see the button in my toolbar. Does your toolbar look different?

I don't specifically recall the button being absent prior to this.

If this is a recent update released by Atlassian it could be that it has not yet deployed to the environment you use. Sometimes it takes a while for updates to get deployed across all environments in the Atlassian Cloud system. Also I see that you are using an Enterprise subscription. The administrators of your environment may have implemented the Release Tracks feature which could delay the release of new features in your environment.

I cannot provide a link to the discussions I read this morning - not sure where I read it and I don't have time to search again.

As well as no undo button, the only way that I can make text smaller is by selecting heading 5 for all text, and not including that level in the TOC.  The normal text in the Tt menu is too large for my requirements.   Toolbar with missing UNDO icon - ever since new version.jpg
Here is a snapshot of my toolbar.  I have searched for the UNDO icon in the + menu - it is not there.  I now understand that CTRL-Z can be used to undo, but I did not know that when I needed it yesterday.  I discovered that gem of advice in the discussion thread that I was reading today, but can no longer find - sorry.
