How to add space in between 2 panels?

How do I add a space to add content in between 2 panels that have no space between them?  Currently I am having to delete 1 of the panels and then enter spacing and then paste the panel again.  Surely this is not intended and there is a simple solution I just do not know about?  Thanks

I think I grok what you are asking, could you put a screenshot up to help?

If I understand, you have two existing panels and you want to put a verticle space between the two? Do you find that removing the 2nd panel, then adding some spaces, and recreating the 2nd panel works?

You should be able to select the first panel, or the line all the panels are on, and using the arrow keys get the cursor to show up between the panels to add the space.  It may not display a visible cursor but you can hit the space bar and see if it adds it where you want it.

When all else fails I like to use the Appfire addon Source Editor for Confluence, then edit the html directly.
