I have 2 different Confluence Spaces and I want to add a link to a subheading section on one of the pages, in one Confluence Space, that redirects it to the other Confluence Space page.
Problem: this is not working even though I tried a few times to add the link to the subheading section. When clicking on the link it always directs me to the main page and not to that specific subheading section.
What is the best way to fix this?
thank you!
Hi @Joana Silva and welcome!
Did u try to use Anchor? Here an useful guide https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/insert-links-and-anchors/
To link to an Anchor macro on another page:
Copy the URL of the page whose anchor you want to link.
Make note of the name of the anchor to which you want to link. The name is displayed on the anchor when editing the page.
Go to the page where you want to add the link and edit the page.
Highlight the text to be used as the link.
Select the link tool .
Paste the URL to the copied page in the link field followed by a # symbol and the anchor name.
Example
page name = Project notes
Anchor name = notes from today
Link = sitename.domain/wiki/Project+notes#notes-from-today
Hope this helps,
Fabio
Hi @Fabio Racobaldo _Catworkx_
Thank you for reaching out. I did Anchor it as below:
Page link: https://peopleflw.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/EX/pages/427098749/Germany-+Onboarding+manual
Anchor name: Requirements
When I click on the link it only goes to the main page, not to the anchor link that I've added.
Could it be because the page is too big or that it has a table of contents, etc.?
What else can I try?
thanks!
