Hi we are currently working with vendor on same project. We need a place to share doc and working together on Road map and others. I have created a work space for project on confluence, but we did not know how to give them access to our space. Once I invited them they will see the error like this.

Can community help me on how we are able to adding external user to our space? A step by step guideline will be very helpful!

Thanks,

Zhuohan

you need to add that user as a licensed user or as a guest here: https://admin.atlassian.com/

Hi @Yu, Zhuohan and welcome to Community.

You can invite guests to collaborate with you in Confluence. Check out this documentation: https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/invite-guests-for-external-collaboration/

It's a two step process where you add them as guests to your instance, then give them access to a specific space.

It's important to note you can only invite 5 guests per paid user, and guests can only access one Confluence space. If you need more people or you need those external collaborators to access more than one space, you will need to pay for a license for them.
