How do you use usemap in the HTML Image macro

We use OnDemand and need to add link to different parts of an image. Adaptivist Content Formatting is installed in the OnDemand version, and we added the image with the HTML Image marco and we assume that the you should specify the name of the client-side map in the usemap attribute, but how do you add the client-side map to the page and what it the precise syntax of the usemap?
