How do you complete the installation when remote web access is not enabled

Deleted user April 9, 2019

The confluence set up strikes me as being a bit obtuse.

To complete it you need to connect to "localhost:8090" but if you're installing it on a remote server then obviously this won't work.

Using lynx breaks because you can't select the method of installation.

So how do you get to the web portion of the installation when deploying remotely?

The docs assume a local installation to avoid having to explain that many "remote servers" have complexities that may additionally stop you dead.

You can use the raw external IP address of the server instead of localhost to connect a remote client (i.e. a browser).  But that assumes that there is networking routing set up for it and no firewalls or security systems blocking things.

Of course it crashes on the very next step.  This seems like an extremely bad program.

The issue is that you can't connect on HTTPS
