How do multiple people edit in a whiteboard space text box at one time?

Confluence concern- it lets more than 1 person type in a text field, but then deletes the additions from the 2nd person and reverts it back without warning. I.e. Coworker and I are both updating different bullet points in a text box, he was in there first and if I make an edit it shows up and then reverts back to what it was before b/c I'm the 2nd person in the text box- only he can make edits that stick.

Given: I have a Whiteboard with a text box w bullet list
When: Two people are editing the same line
Expected: All edits are live and updated right away
Actual: Only 1 person can make the edits.

Hi @Laura Briscoe ,

You could try checking the version history for the whiteboard to see what was written there. Although I believe what you're seeing is a system sync conflict that can happen while collaborating. 👀

Probably the recommendations here would be to:

• Avoid simultaneous line edits
• Use separate text boxes

But that's probably not the best point as we're talking about a collaboration tool 😅

There's this reported bug CONFCLOUD-83274: Editing delays and content loss on large tables in collaborative edit, but it references pages and not whiteboards.

I'd maybe suggest reaching out to the support team and reporting the behavior to them, so they can forward it to the appropriate product team.
