How do I upload a large file over the maximum upload size? Is there another way to upload the file?

Unable to upload a file to Confluence due to size restriction.  Is there another method of getting the file uploaded?

@Kimberly Hayes
If you are confluence server/DC admin, you can modify the attachment settings

https://<baseURL>/admin/viewgeneralconfig.action -- > edit Attachment Settings

For cloud instance, refer: https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/configure-attachment-size/

Hi @Kimberly Hayes ,

as Confluence Administrator, you can increase attachment size :

Btw, there is no way to upload a file that exceed that limit.

Hope this helps,

Fabio

@Kimberly Hayes Welcome to Confluence!

  1. You can ask your admin to change the max file size if the actual file must be uploaded and accessible in Confluence.
  2. You can post the file on a shared drive (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc) and link to it from Confluence.

I am told that Confluence/Atlassian manages Confluence for the company.  Are you able to upload the files for me or temporarily change the max upload size?

@Kimberly Hayes I am not familiar with a setup where Atlassian manages your instance for you. There should be internal admins at your company or in your instance. If you cannot find that, you should open a ticket with Atlassian and they should be able to assist with contacting your admin on your behalf.

I suspect that means you are on Cloud - this means they are providing the service, but they are not your Confluence administrators.  Atlassian don't do administration that you can do for yourself.

You'll need to talk to your admins about getting the file size limit changed, and they can refer to the link @Fabio Racobaldo _Herzum_  gave earlier.
