Hi there,
Over the years, I’ve helped set up spaces for various teams. Since Atlassian introduced the new Space page in the admin area, I’ve noticed I’m now listed as the owner for most of them.
I’ve recently changed roles, so I’d prefer not to have my name showing as the owner anymore. I understand I’ll need to update the list properly over time, but for now, is there a way to remove myself from multiple spaces and just have nothing shown until a new person is specified?
Hi @Martin James ,
Process: Navigate to each space’s settings and assign a new owner.
Limitation: Must be repeated for each space; no bulk option.
Reference: https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/transfer-ownership-of-your-content-item/
Admins can update permissions for multiple spaces at once, but this does not change the owner field
Transfer content item ownership from one user to another
BTW, the following plugin may help you

such a shame we can't just remove ourself. It's going to take ages to find new owners 😩

Hi, just beginning to use Confluence here, but I guess you're at the wiki/admin/space-manager URL? But you have tons of spaces there and would like to bulk leave those--but without an owner, right?
Yeah, I'm only figuring this out, sorry, but what I do with Trello is I have this test account for all kinds of Atlassian stuff and maybe you could create one of those? Like a dedicated free email somewhere called confluence-hold and assign that proxy user? I've put boards and spaces there too that I didn't want but couldn't leave without messing things up.
Don't want to butt in, but this kind of parking old stuff has often helped me get things out of my field-of-view yet still have it backed up somewhere for later use if needed. Just a thought. Cheers!
