How do I prevent a specific status from rolling into the next sprint?

Our "Ready for Release" tickets are rolling over into the next sprint. However, since there is no development work remaining, we want these tickets to fall off the board when we close a sprint.

How do we prevent tickets in this status from rolling over?

As far as I know, that is the only way. Otherwise you may use two boards to visualize them better. One to run the sprints and another one to display the cards status.

No. My team likes to have that status broken out because sometimes we can push to prod before sprint end and this would officially put the ticket in a "Done" status. There are other times when we cannot release until other work is completed, so we use the "ready for release" status. Though, since no dev work remains, we don't want it to roll to the next sprint.

Is that the only way for those statuses not to roll over?

Could you please confirm the status in placed in the right most column in the board. You can see that is the only column that is marked in Green.
